On 10th December, 1917, the Nobel Prize for Peace was awarded to The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The ICRC is the oldest, the most honoured and the most widely recognised organisation of the world. The ICRC won three Nobel Prize Laureates: 1917, 1944, and 1963.,br>The Geneva Conventions and its Additional Protocols have given ICRC a mandate to protect the victims of the international and internal armed conflicts.
There are many Red Cross stamps from countries all over the world.
